1. Construction of pandals on roads and pavements should be done with sufficient space for the movement of pedestrians as well as vehicles. Over crowded areas creates irritation of viewers and other peoples, it also facilities transfer of infectious diseases from one people to another.
2. The lights used for decoration should not be too intense to be detrimental for eyes. Uses of sober lightings are preferential.
3. There should be arrangement for litterbins to avoid solid waste pollution.
4. Use of loud speaker is now become a part of the puja, but it should not exceed the tolerant levels of people so that the puja does not create any nuisance for other people. The tolerant level is specify by law, and vary with place and time, the schedule is given below for convenience of viewers of this site:

5. There should be arrangement for separate queue for male and female to minimise social pollution as far as practicable.
6. Generators, if necessary, should be used in muffled condition with a tall exhaust to minimise air pollution.
7. Drinking water of acceptable quality and sufficient quantity should be available for visitors. Tap breaking, which pollutes even the line water, should not be encouraged. Wastage of drinking water should be controlled under strict surveillance.
8.   There should be arrangement for first-aid and preliminary healthcare for visitors.
9. Branch cutting and nailing of trees should be strictly avoided.
10. Plastics should not be used for the decoration of pandals.
11. The decoration can be planned with indoor plants so that they can abate lot of pollutants particularly suspended particulate matter of air and created greenery also give pleasure to viewers.
12.  Paints which used to colour the statue of god and goddess, should be free of poisonous chemicals so that, after “vasan”, river water should not be polluted with such harmful chemicals.
13. “Vasan zone should be maintained in the rivers so that sedimentation and suspended solid loads in rivers are minimized.
14.  The holes dug on the roads and pavements for pegging should be properly filled up after puja. Otherwise there should be water logging; besides they can also act as traps for people.

If the above points are maintained properly, the puja will be enjoyable for all of us and also be a matter of proud for all the Bengalese. So let us cheer for the event.

There is no reason to jump the ladder for getting slim in two weeks, especially during the pujas when you are preparing yourself for having a blast. But in spite of doing all these you can be in a better shape and look too. For this what you have to do is to bound yourself to certain kinds of food or avoid certain type of activities.

Leave the low fat diet

Those who have exercised regularly throughout the year they can enjoy some liberties during pujas when choosing the food items. Nutrition is the primary thing. Proper nutrition expands the result of training efforts. Just leave the low fat diet. The body needs at least 30% of dietary intake to come from fat. Get set go for starchy carbohydrates like bread, biscuits, rise, rotis.                                                                                        

Put off your stress                                                                                           

Repeated beats of stress will cause your body to operate poorly. Calorie restricted diets will not work if you want to lose weight permanently. One doesn’t have to starve or punish with hours in the gym to lose weight. One needs to learn how to eat for bringing your body back into balance. Calorie restricting diets don’t work in the long run as they disrupt the body’s production of important hormones and enzymes.

Try to lift heavier weights

To build some lean muscles heavier than usual weights should be lifted which will bear in good place for the days of pandal hopping. Practice functional movements like side bending, upper body twisting, front kick, side crossing, leg to leg sit, skipping, side kick, leg crawling, back kick, jumping squat, rowing. Do these exercises back to back without rest.

Adequate sleep is needed

Without required sleep the human body produces stress hormone.  In response to stress your body starts realizing stored glycogen from the liver into the blood to raise blood sugar level. Sleep is the best way for the body to repair itself.
